Areas of Expertise
Knee diagnosis and treatment are where I spend most of my time. After seeing over 10,000 knees I've perfected my craft and feel more than comfortable handling everything from tendonitis to ACL tears to knee replacements. If your knee has it...I've seen it and treated it.
Shoulder issues run a close second to knees in my practice. Arthroscopic shoulder surgery is one of my favorite procedures and something I excel at. I also do a large number of joint replacements and have even done successful transplants of new cartilage surfaces for shoulder conditions. For the vast majority of patients I know your diagnosis without ever getting a MRI.
General & Trauma
I've treated just about every common non-spine orthopedic condition out there. I still take periodic call at major trauma ER's keeping my fracture care current and refined. And so because I have cared for such a breadth of conditions I can almost always offer the correct diagnosis and first line of treatment for my patients. Furthermore, if I can't provide excellent care then I know exactly where to send you and won't waste time getting you there.
Molly Hammond PA
Molly started working with me in 2018. She has taken a huge load off my shoulders and is really a true partner in patient care. Prior to joining our team Molly spent almost 2 years working for a busy hand and trauma specialist. Molly and her husband recently added a new family member...Chaco, a black and white Boxer..who will no doubt cheer for her alma mater, the Baylor Bears! Sic em!
Veronica has been with Texas Orthopedics for many years. She started scheduling my surgeries (and a couple of other docs) in 2018 and has done a wonderful job coordinating patients, vendors, surgical facilities....and me! I could not do what I do without her.
Elisa started scribing in my clinic in early 2018. She has been an incredible addition and really made my life easier, allowing me to focus on patient care. Elisa is applying to PA school and has my full support!
